Kurikan geologia

International cooperation

High-level international collaborative research has emerged around the deep groundwater and soil of Kurikka, involving a large number of top Finnish and international geologists and hydrogeologists. The collaboration has also produced new technology and a system that allows real-time monitoring of the state of deep groundwater. International cooperation and research partners include, among others, the British Geological Survey, the University of Toronto, and Quebec’s INRS research center.

Collaborators from the United Kingdom visited Kurikka in 2018.
