Kurikan geologia

International Project

International cooperation

High-level international collaborative research has emerged around the deep groundwater and soil of Kurikka, involving numerous top-level Finnish and international geologists and hydrogeologists. This collaboration has also resulted in innovative technology and a system that enables real-time monitoring of the state of deep groundwater. International research and collaboration partners include the British Geological Survey, the University of Toronto, and Quebec’s INRS research center.

Collaborators from the United Kingdom visited Kurikka in 2018.
